Paris Jackson hospitalized, ‘fine’ after alleged suicide attempt
Paris Jackson was hospitalized Wednesday after what some outlets were reporting was a possible suicide attempt.
The 15-year-old, the daughter of late pop superstar Michael Jackson, was taken to a hospital after officials from the Los Angeles Country Sheriff’s Department and Fire Department responded to an early emergency call Wednesday at the Jacksons’ Calabasas compound, LA Now reports.
The 911 call came at 1:27 a.m. and the case was first described as a “medical emergency” and an “overdose attempt.”

Her formerly estranged mother, Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe, confirmed to “Entertainment Tonight” that Jackson tried to commit suicide and was taken to the hospital with cuts on her wrist.
Rowe said Jackson had “a lot going on [lately].”
“We appreciate everyone’s thoughts for Paris at this time and their respect for the family’s privacy,” Rowe’s lawyer Eric George said in a statement to TMZ.
An attorney for her grandmother Katherine Jackson said that the 15-year-old was “physically fine.”
“Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are,” Perry Saunders told USA Today. “It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you. Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention. Please respect her privacy and the family’s privacy.”
The middle child of Michael Jackson’s three children, who captured the world’s attention with an impromptu tearful eulogy at the end of her father’s public memorial, had taken to Twitter late Tuesday to share some somber musings.

“i wonder why tears are salty ?” she wrote, later writing out lyrics from the famous Beatles song “Yesterday.”
“yesterday , all my troubles seemed so far away now it looks as though they’re here to stay,” she added.
This month also marks the four-year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death, which took place on June 25, 2009.
Family sources told “ET” and TMZ that Jackson was upset and “threw a fit” Tuesday night after she was told she wasn’t allowed to go to a Marilyn Manson concert, which would take place this Thursday at the Gibson Ampitheatre.
TMZ also posted several photos of Jackson with scars on her wrists, hypothesizing that this incident might not be the first time that Jackson cut her wrists. A source told the site that she “tried this [a possible suicide attempt] in the past” but “this was far more serious. It was not a cry for help.”
Jackson and her brother Prince are possible witnesses in their family’s civil lawsuit against AEG Live, which is being accused of negligently hiring Dr. Conrad Murray to help the singer sleep, LA Now said.
In November 2011, a jury found Murray guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the singer’s death. Murray was sentenced to four years behind bars.
