‘Goddess’ Olivia Wilde sees pregnant belly as ‘badge of pride’

About Olivia Wilde’s baby bump — girlfriend is rocking it, and she happens to think so too.

The pregnant actress opened up about her pregnancy — she’s expecting her first child with fiance Jason Sudeikis — to Lucky magazine, for which she serves as May cover star ahead of the June opening of Paul Haggis’ “Third Person,” which costars her, Liam Neeson, James Franco, Mila Kunis and Adrien Brody.

The “Rush” actress told the fashion mag that she was surprised by how much she wanted to show off her burgeoning belly, which she did flawlessly on the award circuit this year.

“I just thought, ‘Oh, I’m going to hide this forever. But I ended up getting kind of excited to show the bump, as a badge of pride,” the 30-year-old said, and, using her best Oprah Winfrey voice, added, “Like, I’m a woman! Look at me making a human! I am a goddess!”

And the little guy, who’s due on May 4, is “moving around in there and no one else can tell — it’s a little secret friendship.”

The first-time mom isn’t just reveling in her pregnancy physically, she said that it’s had an benevolent emotional effect as well — one that’s also bonded her with other mothers.

“Pregnancy ... gives you more empathy because you look at everyone and you think, ‘You were a baby!’ ” she said. “Pregnancy brings you into this sort of commune — you feel connected to women in a way that you never have.”

Wilde, who was married to photographer Tao Ruspoli from 2003 to 2011, also said that she’s letting pesky unsolicited advice roll right off her, specifically any pressure she gets to marry Sudeikis before their son’s arrival.

“It’s certainly not something I feel pressured to do before we have the baby. I’m such a believer in marriage, and I think of him as my husband anyway,” she said. “I get that it’s not peaches and cream every day.”

The “Saturday Night Live” alum proposed to Wilde in January 2013, and in October they announced that they were expecting their first child together.
