‘Twilight’s’ Nikki Reed dating Ian Somerhalder, reports say

The vampire franchises are crossing over! “The Twilight Saga’s” Nikki Reed is reportedly dating Ian Somerhalder of “The Vampire Diaries.”

Good-bye, Damon and Elena; hello, Damon and Rosalie?!

The hearthrob couple has been linked several times over the past week, Us Weekly reported, with a source verifying their new couple status.

On July 15 they ate at Kiwami in Studio City and grabbed dinner in the San Fernando Valley, the mag said. Then, over the weekend, they were spotted jogging together in L.A. on Saturday, the Daily Mail reported.

The playful “Lost” actor also got extra lovey-dovey with the brunet beauty as they shopped at the Studio City farmer’s market on Sunday, according to E! News.

That’s an awful lot of unofficial joint public appearances, so it’s no surprise the blogosphere is buzzing with budding romance rumors.

Reps for both stars did not immediately respond to The Times’ requests for comment.

In March, news broke that Reed, 26, separated from husband Paul McDonald of “American Idol” after two years of marriage. In May, she was rumored to have dated “Dancing With the Stars” pro Derek Hough, who happened to be briefly linked to Somerhalder’s ex Nina Dobrev. She’s also a pal of Reed’s.

Somerhalder, 35, famously called it quits with his costar Dobrev in May 2013 and joked about their relationship -- and chemistry -- at the People’s Choice Awards in January when they accepted the award for “favorite on-screen chemistry.”

Now, if only Rosalie paid a visit to Mystic Falls, or its white other side...
