NeNe Leakes marries Greg Leakes for the second time
Ms. NeNe Leakes is Mrs. Greg Leakes once again: After a recent divorce, the two remarried Saturday in Atlanta in front of 400 friends.
“Got big plans this weekend? Cause I do :),” the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star tweeted the day before the wedding.
The bride wore white and so did the nine bridesmaids, according to Us Weekly, which noted that Leakes’ gown also had gold accents. TV’s judge Greg Mathis officiated, costar Cynthia Bailey and guest star Marlo Hampton were in the wedding party, and the whole thing was filmed by Bravo for the special “I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding.”
And when it came to the guest list, wow, it was a reality-TV extravaganza. The “Real Housewives” came from all over the country and out of the woodwork, as alumnae joined current cast members to celebrate the occasion. Us Weekly reported the following current and former “RH” names in attendance: Kim Zolciak, Phaedra Parks, Portia Stewart, Kandi Burruss and Lisa Wu (Atlanta), Gretchen Rossi and fiance Slade Smiley (Orange County), Marysol Patton (Miami) and Jill Zarin with her husband, Bobby (New York). To that, add Patti Stanger of “Millionaire Matchmaker” for good measure.
The event went down at Atlanta’s InterContinental Buckhead Hotel, NeNe’s rep confirmed to People.
The couple, who’d been married from 1997 until they filed for separation in 2011 and finalized the divorce in 2012, got engaged for the second time in January. She’s been on “RHOA” since 2008.
NeNe, who’s also appeared on “The New Normal” and “Glee,” most recently made headlines as a judge on the Miss USA pageant. She was the one who asked Miss Utah the equal-pay question that sent the contestant into an epic tailspin.
