Mindy Kaling was one of the many celebrities hobnobbing with politicians at a White House State Dinner on Tuesday.

“The Mindy Project” star chronicled the entirety of her evening on Twitter and Instagram, taking followers inside the White house fete, which was hosted by President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to honor French President Francois Hollande.

The dinner also took place amid a torrent of rumors revolving around the French leader’s personal life. Journalist Valerie Trierweiler, who was considered the French first lady, split with Hollande last month after a swirl of reports that romantically linked him to an actress.

The party took place in a tent on the White House lawn with more than 300 people attending. Hollywood types on hand included “Veep” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Emmy-winning satirist Stephen Colbert, “American Hustle’s” Bradley Cooper and his girlfriend, model Suki Waterhouse, producer J.J. Abrams, basketball player Jason Collins, CNN honcho Jeff Zucker and MSNBC’s the Rev. Al Sharpton.

The first lady wore a blue gown by Carolina Herrera. R&B star Mary J. Blige performed at the event, and the president made a speech saying that he and Hollande would be embarking on a new, elevated level of cooperation as they deal with global security threats in Syria and Iran, climate change and expanded economic cooperation.

As for Kaling, “The Office” writer-alum shared several personal aspects of the affair, from getting ready to go to getting ready for bed, and offered up a “Scandal”-eye view of the party. (Olivia Pope would be pleased.)

The 34-year-old funnywoman attended the event in a white David Meister gown and carried a Jimmy Choo clutch, which she was happy to reveal contained Rihanna for Mac lipstick and a “Tide-to-Go stick for those inevitable “#whitedresspeopleproblems.” Because why shouldn’t a girl wear white to the White House?

Her bestie Jocelyn Leavitt was her plus-one and also documented the evening on social media, sharing photos of party details, including the receiving line, the purple floral centerpieces, the terrarium-like Winter Garden salad, Blige’s performance and Kaling’s hilarious display of the evening’s dessert: cotton candy dusted with orange zest.

The pair later posed for a picture underneath a portrait of former President Clinton and took several selfies throughout the night.

The author noted that she hoped one particular moment would be captured by the White House archives.

“A beautifully captured moment of me gesticulating to Bradley Cooper. Future White House Archival Photo? #statedinner,” Kaling wrote, posting an awkward photo of herself in conversation with the “American Hustle” star.

“Veep’s” Louis-Dreyfus got one-on-one time with the real “veep,” Joe Biden, posing for a photo with the vice president at the event. The two were seated together at the event, the Hollywood Reporter said.

“That was an unforgettable evening. Thank u @JoeBiden @BarackObama @MichelleObama,” she tweeted.

Louis-Dreyfus attended the event with her father, billionaire William Louis-Dreyfus, and shared a snapshot of them in front of a portrait of former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.

“My dad & I with our hero,” she wrote.
