Meat Loaf has cited illness for the cancellation of another concert during his “Last at Bat” tour.

The 65-year-old rocker pulled out of a Nottingham concert at Capital FM Arena during the farewell tour just 30 minutes before doors were scheduled to open Sunday, the Associated Press reported. The concert was the fifth of eight shows lined up for Britain on the tour that kicked off April 5.

The performance was “postponed due to medical reasons afflicting several members of the band,” a post said on the singer’s Facebook page Sunday.

“Meat and everyone in the band and crew send love and apologies and thanks you for understanding,” the statement said. The show has been rescheduled for May 20.

It is unclear if Meat Loaf himself was taken ill, but his spokesman added he was expected to be back on stage in Manchester on Wednesday, Reuters said.

Many fans were compassionate about the cancellation, but several were disgruntled about the short notice, the U.K.’s Metro reported.

Last week the singer burst into tears during his London show at the 02 Arena as he thanked fans for their support during his career, AP said.

“What an incredible night!!! London, you were beyond amazing. Thank you to each and every one of you that came and shared this evening with us!!!” he wrote on his Facebook page.

“On behalf of Jim, Myself all the Band and Crew,” he previously wrote, “We thank you all very very much. We will all keep doing the best we can for all of you that have bought tickets and to all who couldn’t come but have been fans all these many years, we love and thank you. Meat”

The stout singer, whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday, has been plagued with medical issues over the last decade. In 2003, he collapsed onstage and later had heart surgery, according to Rolling Stone. In 2007, he canceled his European tour after being diagnosed with a cyst on his vocal cords. In 2011, he collaped onstage. In 2012, he had knee replacement surgery, and this year he is scheduled to have surgery on the other knee.
