Kat Dennings defends Lindsay Lohan’s ‘2 Broke Girls’ performance
Kat Dennings of “2 Broke Girls” is standing up for Lindsay Lohan in the wake of some trash-talking regarding the “Mean Girls” actress’ recent guest appearance on the show.
Dennings called “complete” bull on a Wednesday story that alleged Lohan was a “train wreck” on set, unable to deliver her lines or keep a straight face when the moment called for it. The editor of the blog Crazy Days and Nights apparently scored an audience seat for the Tuesday night taping, which allegedly ran long in large part to accommodate the guest star’s gaffes, according to the post.
In addition to bagging on her acting, the post got personal, saying Lohan had “lips so plumped out she couldn’t really get them open because of her botox which also caused her to have trouble pronouncing certain words.” Also included: a prediction that it would all be fixed in the edit, and the world would watch the show and think Lilo did just fine.
Dennings had a different take what went down Tuesday evening.
“Lindsay was prepared, sweet to everyone, & professional. Not nice to spread lies,” she wrote [warning: link contains profanity] Friday on Twitter.
An E! News source backed up Dennings’ version, saying, “Lindsay was great; she was on-time, she had a great time and got along terrifically with everyone.”
Lohan needed all the friends she could get this week: In addition to the blog slam, InTouch magazine published what it said is a “conquest list” of Lohan’s former lovers, allegedly compiled by the actress herself and including many celebrity names. Can you say “embarrassing”?
Publicly, Lohan turned a blind eye to it all, posting on-set pictures Wednesday showing her and Dennings in bridal gowns. The guest role, in an episode set to air April 14, has her playing a confused bride who hires the girls to bake her a cake.
