Linda Cardellini of ‘Mad Men’ engaged to Steven Rodriguez
Linda Cardellini, who plays Don Draper’s onetime lover Sylvia Rosen on “Mad Men,” is engaged to Steven Rodriguez, the father of her child.
The “ER” and “Freaks and Geeks” alum, 37, shared the happy news on “The View” Friday, saying that she and Rodriguez, whom she has been friends with since age 10, got engaged the day before in New York City.
“I was surprised that it was happening at that moment, yes,” she said on the show. “We were actually with some of the people I love most: my sister, and my cousins and one of my best friends Maura [Tierney] … and we were sitting ... and he started getting choked up and then got on his knee. And it was very beautiful. It was nice to share it with people.”

Later that evening, the actress shared a close-up of her sparkler on the hand of her 15-month-old baby girl Lilah Rose.
“My daughter Lilah Rose wants everyone to know that her mommy and daddy are getting married...” Cardellini tweeted.
The actress also shared that she lost 55 pounds from her pregnancy, and that’s how she prepared for her scantily-clad love scenes with Jon Hamm’s Draper.
The Ministry is looking forward to all the “Mad Men” couples walking the Emmy Awards red carpet this September. Cardellini’s costars Vincent Kartheiser and Alexis Bledel announced their engagement in March and former co-star Jared Harris announced his engagement to girlfriend Allegra Riggio earlier this month.
