Kristin Cavallari is putting her acting career on hold so she can spend more time with her son Camden and fiancé Jay Cutler.

And right about now, it’s totally appropriate to be thinking: What acting career?

“I’ve passed on a couple of things that would have kept me here in L.A. because my fiancé Jay has to be in Chicago, so if I was here, we would never see each other,” she told L.A.’s Coco Eco magazine. “The sacrifices we make for love…”

The “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills” resident villain has had a handful of appearances on shows including “The Middle” and “CSI: NY” but has become well known for her relationship with Cutler, a Chicago Bears quarterback.

Aside from family, the 26-year-old said she’s focusing on her entrepreneurial endeavors, including her newly launched jewelry line and a shoe line with Chinese Laundry.

“It’s easy to get wrapped up in your career and have that be your only focus, and I want my marriage to work and last — and family comes first,” she said. “The design work is great because I can do most of it from Chicago and I have so much fun with it. I love it and it all works out.”

Cavallari and Cutler got engaged in Cabo in 2011 and welcomed their little boy in August 2012. As for when they’re planning to tie the knot, the TV personality remained coy.

“The old marriage question!” she said. “All I’ll say is we’re planning a big summer wedding, but I’m keeping it a secret.”

The mag made a point to say that Cavallari is nothing like the villainous caricature she portrayed on the MTV reality series; instead Anna Griffin, the mag’s editor in chief and writer, mused at “how genuinely nice and down to earth she is,” adding that she was “sweet and “grounded” and doing her best to live and organic and nontoxic lifestyle.

The Kristin we knew and hated from “Laguna Beach” was pretty toxic. But that’s not the kind of pollutant she’s referring to.

It was her pregnancy that put things in much clearer perspective, because it had her opting for chemical-free products and a much healthier lifestyle. And that’s how she kept off excessive baby weight.

“I’ve always been a pretty healthy eater. My dad is a big health nut, so I’ve always tried to be as organic as possible, but when I became pregnant I took it to a whole new level, and was even more conscious of what I was putting in my body,” Cavallari said.

“I cut back on meat, not only because it was bad for the environment but also because it felt healthier for me. I think that’s why I didn’t gain much baby weight. I gained 25 pounds, which is what I was supposed to gain, and since then I have been choosing more of a plant-based diet. I work out four times a week and just try to live healthy.”

She echoed the sentiments in a recent interview with DISfunkshion magazine where she also admitted that Cutler will tell her when she’s underweight.

“I’m lucky to have my fiancé Jay, who’d rather have a couple of pounds on me,” she said. “He tells me when I’m too skinny and that helps.”

Oh, to have that problem.
