Kris Humphries auctions off Kim Kardashian’s engagement ring
Kim Kardashian’s engagement ring from Kris Humphries was reportedly sold at auction Tuesday for a price more than Christie’s auction house expected but far less than the trinket’s supposed $2-million valuation at the time it was given to the reality-TV star.
The ring — with its 16.2-carat center rock and two 1.8-carat side stones — went for $620,000, according to Us Weekly. With auction fees and mark-up tacked on, the winning bidder dropped $749,000 total. That’s quite a bit more than the pre-auction estimated price of $300,000-$500,000 (bidding opened at $200,000).
Humphries, who now plays for the Boston Celtics, was “very pleased with the final result,” his rep told E! News. According to the auction catalog, a portion of the proceeds will go to charity.

Kim quietly gave the ring back to Kris more than a year ago, a source told Us back in September. The couple’s divorce, which came after 72 days of wedded bliss that ended on Halloween 2011 with her filing to split, was finalized in early June.
Kardashian, of course, has since moved on with Kanye West, whose baby she had on June 15.
