Katherine Jackson loses custody of Michael Jackson’s kids
Michael Jackson’s children are now under the temporary guardianship of their cousin T.J. Jackson, Tito Jackson’s 34-year-old son, a judge ruled Wednesday.
L.A. Now reports the custody of Prince, Paris and Blanket switched to T.J. from Katherine Jackson, the King of Pop’s 82-year-old mother, after recent evidence suggested she was being held against her will on what sheriff’s deputies called a vacation to Arizona, the matriarch’s lawyer Sandra Ribera said in court.
Katherine has done nothing wrong, the judge asserted, but T.J. appeared to be the safest step-in parent for the kids until the Jackson family drama settles.
On Monday, T.J. addressed Paris on an unverified Twitter account. She retweeted his message: “I know it’s completely unfair for them to do this to you and your brothers. We will keep trying. I love you.”
L.A. County sheriff’s deputies responded to a family dispute Monday at the Calabasas home where Katherine and the children reside. Law enforcement officials didn’t release many details, saying only that “members of the Jackson family were involved in a physical altercation.” No arrests were made.
Janet Jackson had allegedly grabbed for Paris’ phone and slapped her, according to a TMZ report referencing security-video footage.
