Kardashians talk Amanda Bynes on their ‘Chelsea Lately’ takeover
In a bizarre twist of fate, the Kardashians are weighing in on Amanda Bynes’ latest shenanigans.
The reality TV family — mom Kris Jenner and Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian — took over E!’s late-night reality show “Chelsea Lately” Monday ahead of the June 2 premiere of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians. They set about to discuss the latest celebrity headlines, including those about themselves and the former Nickelodeon star.
The sisters opened the show, and Jenner spearheaded Chelsea Handler’s signature round-table banter, with her daughters sitting in instead of comedians. Her first topic of choice was a New York Post Page Six report about Bynes’ bizarre behavior at a gymnastics class to which she showed up in a wig, fishnet stockings and a lingerie-like leotard. Her wig reportedly fell off when she attempted a cartwheel. The blogosphere’s pickup of the report fueled an angry tweet from the “All That” actress.
“I’m suing every blog saying I was kicked out of gymnastics. What is wrong w/ u people? What would u do if u found fake stories about u?” she wrote.
To which Jenner smiled and replied, “Well, Amanda, welcome to my world.”
Kim Kardashian stated that she loved Bynes’ latest makeover, but sister Khloe was quick to quip, “With all that makeup and extensions, you would think she looked pretty hot.”
“I haven’t watched TV in so long,” said Kourtney, a busy mother of two. “I think the last time I watched TV, she was on TV.”
The sisters kept the teasing light and managed to bring the conversation back to themselves at every turn. They went on to interview comedian Russell Brand, who said he was “vulnerable to the concept of a KKK threesome” with the sisters.
One important person was definitely watching “Kardashian Lately”: Miss Bynes.
“I love the beautiful Kardashian sisters! I wish E picked better photographs of me! I feel pregnant when I’m fat! I’m working out constantly!” the actress tweeted about the show. Last week, she tweeted that she suffered from an eating disorder.
On Monday and Tuesday, photographs circulated online showing the 27-year-old retired actress smoking a suspicious-looking cigarette on the streets of New York. Bynes was sporting super-blond hair tresses that she claimed a hair stylist “fried” with bleach and lied to InTouch magazine about it.
Looks like there’s another one she’ll have to sue.
