Justin Bieber briefly ponders a return to the ‘hell’ that is Instagram
Who thinks Justin Bieber should get back on Instagram? Could it be … Satan?
“I don’t wanna get my Instagram back,” the singer said Tuesday night onstage in London, where he was wrapping up the European leg of his Purpose World Tour. “Instagram is for the devil.”
Don’t mince words there, Justin.
“I think hell is Instagram,” he continued. “I’m, like, 90% sure. We get sent to hell, we get locked in the Instagram server.”
(Yeah, when Kanye West chats up the audience during a concert, it’s about social issues. When the Biebs does it, it’s about social media.)
Bieber described a hellish nightmare: Getting “stuck in the DMs,” desperately trying to type his way out. A therapist might have a field day interpreting that one, kids.
Of course, the 22-year-old notably nuked his Instagram page back in August after he, his fans and his ex, Selena Gomez, went all high school in comments about his Instagram-publicized travels with now 18-year-old model Sofia Richie.
“I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like,” Bieber said at the time — and then he followed through on his threat.
Richie has since entered the friend zone and Gomez is taking time off to fix her “broken” health, but Bieber is still a ghost on the social-media platform.
