Johnny Depp and Amber Heard spark engagement rumors
Johnny Depp and girlfriend Amber Heard are supposedly engaged, according to several reports.
“The Rum Diary” costars sparked engagement rumors this week when “The Playboy Club” alum was photographed leaving Hollywood’s Ago restaurant attempting to conceal what looked like a sparkly engagement ring on her ring finger, E! Online reported.
On Friday, sources close to the fiercely private couple confirmed the nuptial news to Us Weekly. The news was first reported by Celebuzz on Thursday. However, there is no official word from the actors’ reps, who declined to comment when asked about the engagement by Gossip Cop.

So before we start saying it’s the married life for Johnny, here’s what we do know and what’s floating around the Internet.
Depp, 50, and Heard, 27, met in 2011 on the set of the gonzo flick “The Rum Diaries.” Depp officially announced his split with longtime girlfriend Vanessa Paradis in June 2012 after 14 years and two children together: Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11. He and Heard had been linked since the beginning of 2012, after Heard’s ending a four-year relationship with ex-girlfriend Tasya van Ree, a photographer.
Since then, the pair has been photographed together jet-setting all over the world.
“The proposal happened a while ago,” a source told Us. “She just didn’t wear the ring.”
According to Celebuzz, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star reportedly proposed on Christmas Eve, but Heard didn’t say yes right away.
“Amber really took her time to make up her mind,” a source close to the family told the site. “She turned him down before, before she said yes. So she waited and was thinking about it for a long time.”
The two officially stepped out together for the Art of Elysium’s 7th Heaven Gala at Skirball Cultural Center on Saturday, but Heard wasn’t wearing the ring then, nor at the Golden Globe Awards the next day.
The pair is filming Matthew Cullen’s crime thriller “London Fields” together. The flick, due in theaters this year, also stars Billy Bob Thornton, Jim Sturgess, Jaimie Alexander and Theo James.
