What’s Jessica Biel cooking up for marriage to Justin Timberlake?

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have tended to keep quiet about their relationship, so it’s no surprise that the 30-year-old actress recently downplayed the significance of their impending nuptials.

“I don’t think our marriage will change anything,” Biel recently told the French magazine Gala in a translated interview.

“It’s just a challenge to balance privacy, family, and work,” she said, “but I’m ready.” Biel added, “For me, getting married doesn’t mean we should be limited to a predefined plan. Rather, it’s an opening to explore new things.”

Among the things she’s currently exploring? The joy of cooking. Biel said that although she’s “almost never home,” she does enjoy getting into the kitchen, where she has met with both “pleasant surprises” and “total disaster.”

Of course, Biel’s better half is no slouch in the home-ec department: Timberlake fans might recall that the actor and singer has recently branched out into the home decor business with a line of pillows called HomeMint, so the future Mr. and Mrs. Timberlake can look forward to a home filled with both expertly prepared food and tastefully appointed furnishings.

Timberlake’s design partner in HomeMint, Estee Stanley, is also Biel’s stylist. According to People, Stanley hosted a cocktail party for Biel and Timberlake over the weekend to celebrate their engagement. Among the attendees were Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Adams, Lance Bass, J.C. Chasez and Timbaland.
