Jennifer Love Hewitt: Pregnancy is ‘crazy,’ but she feels ‘lucky’
Jennifer Love Hewitt is back on Twitter and ready to talk pregnancy.
“The Client List” star announced her pregnancy and subsequent engagement to costar Brian Hallisay in June.
The curvy starlet then took a self-inflicted Twitter hiatus in early July after she received a lot of “negativity” following her big news.
“Unfortunately with all the negativity people choose to send on twitter as well as threats to there own well being. I’m sad to say twitter is No longer for me. I have enjoyed all the kindness and love that came my way, as well as support. But this break is needed Life should be filled with positivity and holding each other up, not making threats and sending bad vibes. To those of you who made it a joy Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she said in a series of tweets.
But now she’s back online (and has been since Aug. 6) and she’s out, about and ready to bask in her pregnancy glow.
“Proud to join @Pampers today to celebrate Love, Sleep & Play!” she tweeted Wednesday as she was promoting an event in New York for the diaper brand where she showed off her baby bump when she arrived. She also debuted a shorter, darker hairstyle with blunt bangs.
“[Being pregnant] is an awesome thing,” the 34-year-old mom-to-be told People. “It definitely has its moments where you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh this is crazy,’ but it’s been beautiful.”
As for when she and her fiance may be walking down the aisle, the actress is putting that bundle of stress aside for now.

“I’m not putting that on myself also! We’re going to wait,” she said. “I’m going to get down and be cute again and then we’ll be ready to go.”
Hewitt said the pregnancy already has her on a stricter workout regimen.
“I’ve actually worked out more pregnant than when I wasn’t. I’ve been working out about five to six days a week,” she told the magazine. “I do a lot of swimming, Pilates, yoga — all good stuff for baby and for me. It gets difficult the bigger you get because it’s more uncomfortable, but it’s important.”
Meanwhile, “sometimes it’s been tough to adjust to weird little things,” she told Us Weekly. “Like your hips go numb at night so you have to keep switching sides, and I started making old-lady noises as I walk down the stairs. You know, things like that.”
“But in the overall package of it, I feel very lucky. Some women have really rough pregnancies. I’ve not had one. It’s been really nice and we have been enjoying it so we feel really lucky.”
Hewitt and Hallisay have also started picking out baby names even though they’ve decided not to learn their child’s gender in advance
“They’re not traditional, but they’re not crazy,” she told Us. “ “They’re sort of middle ground.”
“I’m due in December and I don’t know what I’m having. Meeting the baby is what I’m most excited about,” she told People, adding that “learning to breastfeed” is what she’s most terrified of.
Hopefully the new tot knows that his or her mom once joked that she should have those signature assets insured.
