Jennifer Aniston wasn’t there to accept her MTV Movie Award for best kiss, but her “We’re the Millers” costar Will Poulter did a fine job invoking her presence with a presumably fake text message from the actress who played his fake mom.

Aniston, Poulter and Emma Roberts won the best kiss award Sunday night for their awkward smooching scene in “Millers,” which revolves around a fake family assembled by Jason Sudeikis’ character to help him bring a massive amount of weed from Mexico into the United States.

Holding the popcorn statuette (for a second time, after winning earlier for breakout performance), Poulter took a moment to gloat about life in the wake of the film.

“On movie sets, often, actors hook up, it happens,” Poulter said. “Me, Jen, Emma, we’re so happy together. Dating two women is hard. I don’t know how anyone does it here. But I’m coping, I’m managing, as tough as it is. Love triangle, right?”

It was at that point that a “text” from Aniston interrupted his speech. “It’s Jen,” he said. “This is great. I should read it out loud.”

He then relayed the supposed message from his co-honoree: “Hey ... I”m watching this on TV,” the alleged “Aniston” wrote. “Stop telling people we’re a real thing. I was forced to kiss you. I didn’t come tonight because I thought I might have to come near you again. It’s probably best you stay in England.

“P.S. You look like a dorky Tintin.”

Ouch! But a very cute acceptance speech.

In the award-winning scene, Poulter’s Kenny sits on a couch between Aniston’s Rose and Roberts’ Casey as the women take turns locking lips with him. The moment beat out Joseph Gordon Levitt and Scarlett Johansson in “Don John”; James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson in “Spring Breakers”; Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller in “The Spectacular Now”; and Jennifer Lawrence going wife-on-girlfriend with Amy Adams in “American Hustle.”

Aniston, 45, told Conan O’Brien last summer that she was pretty nervous while filming the scene with Poulter, who was born in 1993 versus Aniston’s 1969.

“It’s so disturbing. He’s very young. He was underage. I thought, ‘This is kind of illegal,’ ” Aniston said (her costar was 20 at the time).

“Did you break a law when filming this scene?” O’Brien asked.

“It was just a kiss. That’s not illegal,” she replied.

Poulter’s 21 now, incidentally.

Aniston is currently in Los Angeles shooting the movie “Cake,” which also stars Anna Kendrick and Sam Worthington. She’s also engaged to actor-writer Justin Theroux, who at 42 is more in her legal ballpark.

The 23-year-olod Roberts is engaged to actor Evan Peters, 26.
