Jamie Lee Curtis home, resting after serious car accident in Venice
Actress Jamie Lee Curtis was taken to the hospital briefly Thursday after a major car accident in Venice, according to reports.
The “NCIS” and “New Girl” guest star, 54, was taken to the hospital via ambulance after the black Yukon sport utility vehicle she was riding in was involved in a collision with a BMW, according to TMZ.
“Jamie was indeed a passenger in a car involved in a collision this a.m.,” the actress’s rep told E! News on Thursday. “She went to the hospital to be checked out, but she is fine and is home resting.”
The accident took place at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Rose Avenue at 10:10 a.m. The vehicle Curtis was in was hit by the other car, the LAPD confirmed to E! News.
The “Veronica Mars” actress suffered minor injuries and complained of pain before being taken to the hospital, E! reported.
Another person, the driver of the SUV, according to the Hollywood Reporter, was believed to have suffered more serious injuries and was taken to the emergency room.
TMZ reported that Curtis phoned pal Jodie Foster immediately after the crash and the Oscar-winning actress reportedly showed up on the scene.
