Hayden Panettiere opens up about beau Wladimir Klitschko
Hayden Panettiere is finally opening up about her relationship with boxer Wladimir Klitschko.
When asked about her rekindled romance, the “Nashville” star gave Glamour interviewer Lauren Brown a huge smile and said: “I think it’s pretty obvious. I’m not going to deny it.”
Finally! It’s about time!
The couple have been spotted together over and over since January. The starlet, 23, and Ukrainian heavyweight, 37, had yet to publicly confirm their relationship, let alone their engagement, despite being seen together packing in the PDA for months. Panettiere previously said that she and Klitschko were “just good buddies.”
But the world-saving cheerleader of “Heroes” is finally changing her tune, saying that she and her beau, who is the younger brother of the World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, have “been friends for five years -- we’ve never not been close.”
She was spotted on the beach in Miami over Easter weekend sporting a massive ring on her finger, according to the New York Daily News. And Panettiere’s musician Kate York uploaded an Instagram photo of Panettiere wearing a sparkler on her right hand while wrapping her legs around Klitschko, Gossip Cop reported.
The two met at an acquaintance’s coffee-table book launch and have been on-and-off again since then, notably calling it quits in 2011. But this time around she describes this rematch to be “like the 2.0 version.”
“I’ve always had great relationships and stayed really good friends with the guys I’ve dated,” Panettiere said. “It blows my mind sometimes that us getting together has gotten so much attention. It’s like, Really? This is breaking news?”
Well, it is for the celebrity blogosphere, Hayden.
As for her marriage and kids timeline, she said she doesn’t really have a plan but it “wouldn’t shock” her if she and Klitschko had a baby together.
“I’ve lived a very big life, and I don’t feel my age, and I feel like I was born to be a mother,” she added. “Sometimes people speak about [having kids] like, ‘Your life ends -- you’re never going to be able to do anything again!’ And I’m like: ‘What are you talking about?’ Motherhood is the most beautiful, exciting thing, and there’s nothing that I feel like I can’t accomplish while having children in my life. I would sacrifice having more years of being wherever I want whenever I want for years with my kids.”
The complete interview hits newsstands April 9.
