Hayden Panettiere is having a baby girl, she says on Emmys red carpet
Hayden Panettiere looked as if she might spill out of her low-cut dress on the Emmy Awards red carpet Monday night, but the only thing the actress wound up spilling was the gender of her baby.
The “Nashville” star is having a girl, she confirmed to E! News after -- perhaps accidentally? -- using a gender-specific pronoun.
“I can’t wait for her to come out, little one,” Panettiere told Giuliana Rancic, who immediately asked if a girl was in fact on the way.
“I think I just said that, didn’t I?,” Wladimir Klitschko’s fiancee said in a way that suggested she might not have intended to share the info. “Yes, it’s a little girl.”
The couple, whose wedding plans have been delayed by unrest in Ukraine, where her boxer beau’s brother is the mayor of Kiev, made their engagement public last October.
Learning the baby’s sex ahead of time was a must, she said, because, “I like to shop, girl, I want to go shopping for my girl. I want to paint the room appropriately.” The decor won’t be an only-pink explosion, however; she and her interior designer have been working on a room that the child “can grow up in.”
Baby Girl Panettiere-Klitschko -- wow, that’s a mouthful -- is due in December, the actress told “Entertainment Tonight” on the same red carpet.
And that daring, mega-plunging Lorena Sarbu dress? “It was one of the only two that fit over my rear end,” she said.
