Eliza Dushku’s romantic relationship with ex-NBA star Rick Fox has been vanquished.

The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” alum and former Celtics and Lakers player have gone their separate ways with Dushku is heading back to her native Boston, she told the Boston Globe.

“Rick’s an L.A. guy and I’m a Boston girl,” the “Dollhouse” star told the newspaper, adding that she bought a condo near her childhood home.

Dushku, 33, and Fox, 44, began dating in 2009 and moved in together in 2010. The actress has lived in L.A. for 22 years, the newspaper said.

“I’d rather be a little physically cold here than emotionally cold in L.A.,” she said. “I missed my town and I missed my family.”

Despite the move, she wants to continue to work in television and film.

The actress, who voices She-Hulk in Disney XD’s “Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.,” is also planning to hit the books too.

“I’m actually looking to go back to school,” she told the Los Angeles Times’ Hero Complex in March. “One of the areas that’s so interesting to me -- and obviously it played out in the show ‘Dollhouse’ -- are these deep crevasses of our brains and our emotions that make us tick, and what those combinations and variables are that are looked at in projects like [‘Gable 5’] and projects like ‘Dollhouse.’”

Duskhu said she wants to learn more about psychological and sociological behavior, knowing that she will also be able to use the information in her life as a director and actress.

“It helps me navigate the stories that I want to tell in areas that are interesting to me,” she told The Times.

Fox, who is also an actor, was previously married to “Ugly Betty” star Vanessa Williams, with whom he has a daughter. He also has a son from a previous relationship.
