David Beckham’s clothes keep coming off in Guy Ritchie H&M; film
David Beckham is losing more than his bathrobe in Guy Ritchie’s film promoting Beckham’s bodywear line for H&M.;
“David is the perfect leading man,” Ritchie said. “For me, this felt like more than a campaign — it was like directing a short film.”
“I loved doing it and people will get to see me play a role I’ve never done before!” the soccer star told the New York Daily News. “it was great to work with Guy, who is an amazing director.”
Beckham, 37, who will be leaving Los Angeles to play for the Paris-St. Germain club for free, isn’t saying au revoir to sunny Southern California just yet. The short opens with him seeing his family off on their driveway but as they drive off, his bathrobe gets caught on the car, leaving him standing in just — OH NO! — an undershirt, his army-green skivvies and totally adorable bedroom slippers.
For the record: Only Beckham can make pulling out a wedgie sexy. Which he does next, then gets ready to run after the car, all perfectly sculpted and sweaty. SPOILER ALERT: In the process, he loses his undershirt as he runs, runs, runs through the hills chasing his family’s Range Rover like an action hero.
There’s also a pretty sweet “Bend It Like Beckham” moment, but who cares?
OK, that’s enough drooling, watch the 1:40 video above and drool — we mean, see — for yourself.
