Dina Eastwood files for divorce from Clint Eastwood
This time it’s really happening: Dina Eastwood has filed for divorce from husband Clint Eastwood — that after previously withdrawing papers she’d filed in September requesting a legal separation.
In the papers, filed Tuesday in Monterey County Superior Court, Dina is requesting physical custody of their only child together, 16-year-old daughter Morgan, according to People. She’s also asking for him to pay alimony and her attorney fees.
“They were a great couple,” a source close to the family told the mag in September. “Theirs was not only a marriage, but also a close, loving friendship. Everyone enjoyed being around them.”
The separation was announced in late August, with Dina filing for legal separation Sept. 9. However, Dina, 48, withdrew the separation papers two days after filing them in September, Us Weekly reported earlier this month, noting that no official reason was given for the change of heart.
Around that time, Clint, 83, was photographed in L.A. with his new girlfriend, Erica Tomlinson-Fisher. Tomlinson-Fisher, incidentally, used to be married to one of Dina’s high school friends, Us said.
“I am saddened to see photos of Clint with Ms. Tomlinson-Fisher,” Dina Eastwood said in a statement to the New York Daily News in early September. “I look forward to new beginnings.”
The Eastwoods have been married since 1996.
