Chrissy Teigen critiques stranger for nonsensical slur: ‘What a bad racist’
Chrissy Teigen slammed a stranger on Twitter who hurled racist slurs at her in person.
The “Lip Sync Battle” co-host, who is of Norwegian and Thai descent, vented in a series of tweets on Thursday about a nonsensical put-down she got from a “seemingly normal looking dude” who screamed at her when she dropped her sunglasses on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood.
The outspoken swimsuit model said the man stereotyped her, saying something to the tune of “Asians drop stuff all the time” but with much saltier language and much less decorum that, of course, we won’t repeat here.
To that, Teigen replied: “like that’s not even a stereotype. get your [expletive] together. What a bad racist.”
But she didn’t stop there.
“We were the only ones on the block and he screamed it from 5 feet away. Then when I acknowledged it he said ‘oh now the oriental can hear,’” the 29-year-old wrote, adding, “Anyhoo, that was my morning! If you see a guy in weho wearing a brown suit jacket and jeans, probably avoid eye contact.”
Teigen’s tirade caught the attention of another outspoken celeb: “The Mindy Project” creator Mindy Kaling.
“WHAT?! That’s an insanely hilarious new racism I’ve never heard of before. Congrats, sociologically,” the actress quipped.
