Chris Brown wakes up on right side of the bed for ‘Today’ chat
Chris Brown has chilled out enough to discuss his assault on Rihanna reasonably with someone on morning television.
Brown infamously lost it with Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America” when she asked a series of questions about Rihanna in March 2011, storming offstage after the interview and then going on to bust up a dressing room.
His “Today” interview Monday with Matt Lauer was definitely more copacetic.

“For me, I’ve been humbled by the whole experience,” Brown said, reflecting on how he was different now than before. “From me losing everything to me having to regain public opinion or whatever it is, but most importantly knowing that what I did was totally wrong and having to kind of deal with myself and kind of forgive myself in the same breath and being able to apologize to Rihanna and having to be that man that can be a man, you know.”
He discounted recent rumors than he and Rihanna had broken up once again, saying, “Everything’s good, we’re fine,” before noting that “she knows my heart and I know her heart” when it comes to whether he’d ever hit her again.
“I did my 52 weeks of [domestic violence] counseling,” said Brown, “and learned that it was absolutely wrong.”
