Camille Grammer undergoes hysterectomy following cancer diagnosis
Camille Grammer of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is recovering from surgery she had last Thursday related to an endometrial cancer diagnosis.
“The surgery went well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period,” the reality-TV stars’s rep told E! News.
Endometrial cancer, or uterine cancer, begins in the layer of cells that makes up the lining of the uterus, which is called the endometrium. Treatment often involves a hysterectomy, which requires that the uterus be removed, according to the Mayo Clinic.

The 45-year-old Bravo star underwent “a radical hysterectomy,” because she “was at elevated risk due to genetic issues,” her rep told People magazine last week.
“[Camille] has been diligent about regular checkups and monitoring, which explains that early detection and rapid treatment,” the rep added. “Mrs. Grammer expresses gratitude to all the amazing healthcare professionals who have taken such loving and nurturing care of her. She urges all women to be aware of the genetic factors relating to women’s cancers and get regular checkups.”
Grammer, who left the “Real Housewives” franchise earlier this year, was previously married to “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer, with whom she had two children via surrogate. She said she amicably parted ways with the ‘Real Housewives” stars, who include Adrienne Maloof, Lisa Vanderpump, Taylor Armstrong. Brandi Glanville and sisters Kim and Kyle Richards.
“Some ridiculous stories on the web lately about #RHOBH. To set the record straight. I have truly enjoyed my time w/ show and the ladies:),” Grammer tweeted in March.
The series, which wrapped its third season last April, has since cast Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia for Season 4.
