Ashley Tisdale gushes over fiance, releases ‘You’re Always Here’
Ashley Tisdale’s wedding planning is underway, but the singer/actress took some time to promote her latest single Monday and gush over fiance Christopher French.
In August, the “High School Musical” alum got engaged to the musician/producer, who popped the question after only eight months of dating.
“You know, I didn’t [think it’d happen that quickly],” she said on “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” on Monday.

“I’ve obviously been in long relationships in the past and stuff. But I think because of knowing what I wanted, I wouldn’t have gone into a relationship if it wasn’t what I wanted. And I think from the moment that him and I met, I just knew it. I was like, ‘OK, this is the guy,’ and he knew the same thing. It’s just this feeling that, it doesn’t get any better. I just can’t explain it.”
Despite her glee, the 28-year-old has had her share of tragedy this year. Her just-released single, “You’re Always Here,” is dedicated to her late grandfather, who died three months ago. But French helped her in the healing process by producing and writing the track with her, she said.
“It’s just natural between us,” the “Phineas & Ferb” voice actress said. “With other relationships, you’re trying too much and trying to make it work and then there’s just a moment when you find somebody and you’re like, ‘Holy ...! This is so natural.’”

Tisdale said that her relationship with French took off when she wasn’t expecting.
“I had no idea and I did not think that would happen and I was just so focused on other things and then suddenly it just kind of hits you,” she said.
Though the actress has yet to set a wedding date, she said she’s already starting planning her big day and the nuptials will be “small” and “as private as we can get it,” she quipped.
And aside from busying herself with wedding plans, Ashley’s also been working in the studio. The actress just released a new track, “You’re Always Here,” which is dedicated to her grandfather.
