Adam Levine calls fan’s onstage attack ‘super terrifying’

Adam Levine was accosted by an overzealous female fan who arrived uninvited onstage at this week’s Maroon 5 concert in Anaheim. For the record, this is not the way to impress a guy, ladies and gentlemen.

Daddy’s working.

Plus, well, daddy doesn’t know if you’re dangerous.

Levine handled the incursion into his personal stadium space like an experienced pro Monday, first pushing the woman away as she wrapped her arms around his neck, then maneuvering her to his side and putting his arm around her shoulder as they faced the crowd. Security escorted her away within 10 seconds of when she launched herself at the singer and tried to handle the merchandise.

Then it was buh-bye.

“That was ... weird, right?” Levine said to the crowd after the song ended. “She like cut my ear with her fingernail.”

“The Voice” coach continued: “It’s just weird to be, like, in the moment, ya know? And you’re singing, and your eyes are closed, and you have this beautiful moment. And then the next thing you know someone’s ... in your face.

“It’s super terrifying.”

Similar thoughts perhaps ran through country star Tim McGraw’s mind last summer in Toronto when a fan reached up out of the crowd and grabbed onto his leg, tearing his jeans as he walked away. The startled singer, however, wound up taking a swipe at her.

So she threatened to sue him. And they settled. It was unclear whether the “conversation” that her lawyer said fixed the rift involved money or just chit-chat. Hmm ....

“I reacted in an instinctive, defensive way from my perspective of what was going on,” McGraw told ET Canada, calling the situation “unfortunate.”

“It happened in a split second, it was pure instinctive reaction ...,” he added. “You are in that position, you are out there, you are vulnerable, things happen and sometimes you react.”

Mess with the bull, sometimes you get the horns.
