YouTube trends: ‘Tomorrowland 2013’
A 30-plus-minute recap of Tomorrowland, a popular electronic music festival in Belgium, is garnering notice on YouTube.
The highly produced video that features vignettes from the live music performance with popular tracks, inclulding Avicci’s “Wake Me Up” and Martin Garrix’s “Animalsaas” has attracted more than 2 million views, making it one of the top four trending videos on YouTube on Thursday morning.
The Tomorrowland video serves to promote the upcoming TomorrowWorld concert Sept. 27-29 in Chattahoochee Hills, near Atlanta. The three-day event will feature a line-up that includes Tiësto, David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack, Porter Robinson, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso.

Other trending videos include the Evolution of Endzone Dancing, featuring Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake spoofing the popular Evolution of Dance YouTube video -- though this time, tracing the history of end-zone touchdown celebrations like the “Ickey Shuffle” and the “Dirty Bird.”
Best-selling young adult fiction author John Green’s latest installment of his funny yet smart videos dubbed “Mental Floss” focuses on 48 Things You Didn’t Know Had Names, including petrichor, the name for that clean, green smell of rain.
Rounding out the top four trending videos of the day is The Science of Heartbreak, which reveals that the same area of the brain that’s activated by physical pain also responds when we suffer the emotional pain when people are excluded or experience the loss of a relationship.
