TV ratings: ‘Cosmos’ rises Easter Sunday; ‘Once Upon a Time’ dips
ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” and CBS’ “Good Wife” posted some of the biggest numbers on Easter Sunday, but Fox’s “Cosmos” reboot was one of the only shows to improve on its ratings from last week.
“Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, earned a rating of 1.4 in the key 18- to 49-year-old demographic, up 8% week-to-week, according to early numbers from Nielsen. In 18-49, a ratings point equals roughly 1.3 million viewers. Overall, the science documentary averaged 3.7 million viewers.
Less stellar was Fox’s animated comedy “Bob’s Burgers,” which suffered in its move to 7 p.m. and lost 25% of its week-ago young-adults rating for a 0.6.

ABC’s fairytale drama “Once Upon a Time” earned a 1.7 rating in 18-49, marking its lowest rating ever, down 15% from last week, but it was still the highest-rated show of the night. Its lead-in was the 4-decades-old Peanuts special “It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown,” which brought in 3.5 million viewers (0.9 in 18-49).
With a total haul of 9.1 million viewers, “The Good Wife” was Sunday night’s most-watched broadcast show. It scored a 1.4 in 18-49, down 7% week-to-week. With generally diminished results from “60 Minutes,” “Amazing Race” and “The Mentalist,” CBS was still the top broadcast network on Sunday.
On NBC, “American Dream Builders” fell to a low of 0.6 in 18-49. The JJ Abrams and Alfonso Cuaron show “Believe” grew 20% to a 1.2, but “Crisis” continued to drop, this time down 18% to a 0.9.
