Elon Musk thanks Jeffrey Katzenberg over Tesla remark
Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk gave a shout-out to Jeffrey Katzenberg after the Hollywood mogul credited Tesla for saving his life in a serious car accident in Beverly Hills last week.
Katzenberg was involved in a serious car accident Oct. 19 when his Tesla electric car was struck by another vehicle at an intersection along Sunset Boulevard.

The accident totaled Katzenberg’s white Tesla Model S and left Katzenberg with serious injuries — a broken arm and crushed wrist that required surgery and several days treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
But Katzenberg said his injuries could have been much worse. At a charity event in Beverly Hills on Friday, Katzenberg credited the Tesla and Musk for “saving his life,” according to an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
“Compliment from Jeffrey is much appreciated, but the people of Tesla deserve all the credit,” Musk tweeted Monday.
The accident did not appear to have slowed down Katzenberg much. The executive, who is known for his frenetic work habits, returned to his office Friday sporting a pink cast.
He is preparing for a trip to China next week to check on the status of “Kung Fu Panda 3,” which is being produced through a joint venture company in Shanghai.
Katzenberg was not available for comment. A spokesman for the Beverly Hills Police Department did not respond to requests for comment.
