‘Breaking Bad’ finale soars past expectations with 10 million viewers
It looks like more people were hooked on “Breaking Bad” than we thought.
Sunday night’s finale of the dark AMC drama drew 10.3 million viewers, obliterating last week’s series record of 6.6 million, according to Nielsen. Total viewership more than tripled last year’s season closer.
The show, starring Bryan Cranston as a high school chemistry teacher-turned-drug lord, was widely expected to draw about 8 million viewers for its conclusion.

Of the people who watched the finale, 6.7 million were in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 age demographic, Nielsen reported.
The episode also got lots of attention on social media, with 1.24 million tweets from more than 600,000 unique users.
The “Talking Bad” after-show delivered an audience of 4.4 million, Nielsen said.
