Samsung is changing its approach to the tablet market with a slew of new tablets designed specifically for professionals who need a device built for productivity. Among these gadgets is the new $749.99 12.2-inch Galaxy Note Pro.
Samsung has shifted its approach toward the tablet market in 2014, releasing a slew of new tablets geared specifically to those who want a device for getting work done.
Leading the way is the company’s Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, a large device complete with a stylus and a high-resolution screen designed with professionals in mind.
Going along with the productivity theme, Samsung has loaded the tablet’s software with the ability to run up to four apps on the screen at the same time. Though this doesn’t work with all apps, users could potentially run a browser, their email, their calendar and a navigation app simultaneously.

Additionally, Samsung has designed the on-screen keyboard to work like the keyboards users are accustomed to on desktops. The keyboard comes complete with a CTRL key that can perform many of the same shortcuts users perform on PC keyboards.
When it comes to the interface, the South Korean company has introduced a new magazine-style look that features numerous widgets that actively update to show users the latest information.
The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 runs the latest version of Android, 4.4 KitKat, and uses a 1.9GHz Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor. The 12.2-inch screen features a high-resolution 2,560 by 1,600 pixel screen.
The new Samsung tablet comes in 32-gigabyte and 64 GB options, available for $749.99 and $849.99, respectively. The tablet is available in black or white options.
