Apple reportedly to announce iPhone in September, iPad mini in October
A new report says Apple will reveal the iPhone 5 and iPad mini at two separate events this fall.
Apple will announce the iPhone 5 first at a Sept. 12 event that the company has yet to formally schedule, according to the report from All Things D.
Other reports have also said the iPhone 5 will get to customers on Sept. 21. It is rumored to be thinner, have a larger screen and be 4G enabled.
Rumor round-up: The new iPhone
The report says Apple will address the iPad mini after it has announced and launched the sixth-generation iPhone.
Apple will unveil the iPad mini at an event in October, according to All Things D. That falls in line with what others have speculated or reported about the rumored smaller Apple tablet.
The iPad mini is speculated to be a 7.85-inch screen tablet with a shape more reminiscent of the iPhone than the iPad.
Though the report wasn’t specific about the date that the iPad mini event could take place, others have said it will likely be in early October.
