Google launches ‘Views’ site for users to share panorama photo images

Google is making it easier for users to share and view 360-degree panorama images by launching a new site called “Views.”

The new site makes it possible for users to upload their “photo sphere” images from their Google+ accounts and from their Android devices onto Google Maps.

Photo spheres are 360-degree panoramas similar to the images users see when they go on Google Street View. Some Android users can shoot and create their own photo spheres using their camera app.

To use Views, sign in using your Google+ profile, then click on a blue camera icon to import photo spheres already uploaded to your Google+ accounts.

Users can also post photo spheres from their Android devices by selecting the image they want to share within the Gallery app, tapping “Share” and selecting Google Maps.

“When you’re on your next adventure, don’t forget your camera and your Android phone to create and share some photo spheres of places that inspire you,” Google Product Manager Evan Rapoport said in a blog announcing the new website. “We can’t wait to see them!”
