Facebook testing sound notification feature
Beep! Next time someone likes your status, you might hear a notification before you see one.
Facebook has confirmed it’s testing a new feature on a limited number of users that makes a sound alert each time the user gets a notification.
You can check out the feature in action in the YouTube video below.
If you’re one of the users who has the new feature, VentureBeat has found a way to turn it off:
Click the arrow on the top right of the Facebook website. Go to “Account Settings” and click the “Notifications” tab. Once there, click “View” on the top tab and uncheck where it says “Play a sound when each new notification is received.”
No word on whether this feature will be rolled out to all Facebook users.
