Report: Apple will unveil new versions of MacBook Air next week
Apple typically introduces new products at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, and this year, a report says that the tech giant will unveil new versions of its MacBook Air computers.
Apple news blog 9to5Mac, which has an excellent track record when it comes to reporting Apple developments, says the Cupertino company will likely refresh its line of ultra-thin laptops at next week’s conference. The report cites an unnamed source.
The refresh may include new Haswell chipsets by Intel, which should improve the battery life of the Apple machines, 9to5Mac says.

Additionally, 9to5Mac believes the new versions of the MacBook Air computers will come with faster Wi-Fi chips that would allow the laptops to download files more quickly and improve high-definition movie streaming.
Besides improving the MacBook Air, Apple might unveil the next generation iPad 5, at least according to two companies that are coming out with cases for the tablets next week.
Apple is also expected to announce iOS 7 and OS X 10.9, the next versions of its mobile and desktop operating systems. The company is also widely expected to introduce a new Internet radio music service that could be supported by audio ads.
We’ll find out soon if any of the speculation is credible. The company’s keynote is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday.
