Shipping times for Apple’s new 128 GB iPads listed as 1 to 3 days
Apple began selling its 128-gigabyte iPad on Tuesday, with shipping times listed as one to three days for online orders.
That’s good news for iPad buyers, but the short shipping time may suggest it is not selling as quickly as other versions of the tablet.
The 128 GB iPad has twice the storage space of the previously largest model of the Apple tablet. The Cupertino, Calif., company is selling the Wi-Fi version of the 128 GB iPad for $799.
The cellular-enabled version of the 128 GB iPad costs $929 and has a listed ship time of three to five business days. That tablet is capable of working with Sprint, AT&T; and Verizon Wireless networks.
QUIZ: Test your Apple knowledge
Besides having more storage space, the tablet is the same as the rest of Apple’s fourth-generation iPad with Retina display models.
Apple announced the 128 GB version of the device last week and has launched the tablet just before Microsoft begins selling its Surface Pro tablet on Friday.
It seems both Microsoft and Apple are making a play at the higher-end, professional market.
