NHL great Wayne Gretzky reloads Westlake Village estate for $8.2 million
Legendary hockey player Wayne Gretzky has put an estate in Westlake Village back on the market at $8.195 million.
The home came to market a year ago for $10.5 million and was more recently priced at $10 million.
Gretzky bought the property, on about an acre in a guard-gated community, in 2000 for $2.76 million, records show. The 8,711-square-foot house with five bedrooms and six bathrooms was completed in 2006.
Entered through a courtyard with a fountain, the single-story home has a grand foyer, formal living and dining rooms, a remodeled center-island kitchen and a library. Coffered ceilings, elaborate chandeliers, paneled walls and distressed wood floors count among the interior details.
Bi-folding doors open to a swimming pool with a raised spa. Behind the pool is a dining and barbecue pavilion complete with flat-screen televisions and a fireplace.
A gym with telescoping walls of glass and a full bathroom sits adjacent to the pavilion.
