‘X-Men’ star Shawn Ashmore snags a new-look contemporary in Studio City
Actor Shawn Ashmore, who played the superhero Iceman in the “X-Men” film franchise,” has bought a renovated home in Studio City for about $1.855 million.
The gray-painted two-story, built in 1989, has symmetrical, wide front with a gated courtyard set between a pair of single-car garages. Inside, white walls pair with wide-plank wood and blue limestone floors to give the nearly 2,700 square feet of living space a cool contemporary vibe.
A kitchen with two-islands, a family room with a fireplace, a dining area three bedrooms and three bathrooms are among the living spaces. The master suite, with a walk-in closet and glass-enclosed shower, opens to a balcony overlooking the grounds.
Outdoors, there’s a built-in barbecue, a patio and a swimming pool and spa.
The property came to market in September for $2.195 million, records show. It previously changed hands in early 2015 for $1.33 million.
Linda Ferrari of Keller Williams Realty was the listing agent and also represented the buyer.
Ashmore, 37, is known for is role in the “X-Men” films as well as the Fox series “The Following. This year he appeared on the series “Conviction” and “Relationship Status” as well as the film “Hollow in the Land.”
