Director Jason Moore puts his Rock Hudson haunt up for sale in Studio City
“Pitch Perfect” director Jason Moore has put his storied home in Studio City up for sale at $1.095 million.
Designed by architect Ralph Bowerman, the Midcentury post-and-beam was once occupied by screen legend Rock Hudson. Moore bought the 1950s house, on a bluff above Coldwater Canyon, four years ago for $640,000, records show.
The flat-roof home of 1,008 square feet retains its Old Hollywood cool with clean lines, thick beams, overhanging eaves and polished concrete floors. Walls of floor-to-ceiling grass wrap the exterior, bringing the outdoors inside.
An open floor plan includes a living area that flows seamlessly into a modern kitchen and dining area. A lone bedroom has a sitting area/office and sliding glass doors that open to the grounds.

Outdoors, the tree-topped setting is filled with various patios and drought-tolerant flora. Near the rear of the property, a wood-plank deck sits level with a plunge pool.
John Galich of Rodeo Realty is the listing agent.
Moore, 45, has television credits that include “Dawson’s Creek,” “One Tree Hill” and “Trophy Wife.” Last year, he directed the film comedy “Sisters,” starring Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.
