Red Skelton’s former 600-acre horse ranch in Riverside seeks $6 million
The former ranch of Red Skelton, the entertainer who hosted “The Red Skelton Show” for 20 years, is on the market for $5.995 million.
Spanning over 600 acres of pastures and plains in Riverside’s Anza Valley, the ranch offers plenty of privacy.
On the compound are four homes, a warehouse, a three-studio bunkhouse, four windmill wells and a pond. Horse facilities include indoor and outdoor riding arenas, a stallion barn and 20 paddocks.
The main residence features living spaces with vaulted ceilings and wood finishes. The great room and master suite hold brick fireplaces.
Star Evans of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage holds the listing.
Skelton, who died in 1997 at the age of 84, developed his comedic chops in vaudeville and burlesque circuits before gaining national recognition as a radio and television host.
“The Red Skelton Show,” his comedy/variety program, ran for 672 episodes and won the 1959 Golden Globe for best TV show.
