Aber Whitcomb, the co-founder and former chief technology officer of Myspace, has listed his home in the Bird Streets area of Hollywood Hills West for sale at $2.995 million.

The two-story Traditional with a slate gray roof and large picture windows sits behind a gated drive and is masked by tall trees and privacy hedges.

Built in the 1930s, the 3,015 square feet of living space opens through a formal entry with a curving staircase. There are formal dining and living rooms, a den, three bathrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.

Textured wall treatments, wainscoting and rich hardwoods are among the interior details.

A raised patio set off of the main floor overlooks a swimming pool and an adjacent cabana. Large expanses of grass and formal landscaping complete the setting.

Whitcomb, who owns other property in Venice and Marina del Rey, previously leased out the home for $15,000 a month, records show. The house previously sold in 2007 for $2.49 million.

Branden and Rayni Williams of Hilton & Hyland, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, hold the listing.
