Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt has sold his Cape Cod-style home in Newport Beach for $3.09 million.

Built in 1967, the blue-hued two-story presents itself as a vacation retreat with income potential with kitchens on each level and three separate living areas. The 2,500 square feet of living space features custom millwork, wainscoting, five bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Wraparound balconies and a rooftop deck take in panoramic ocean views. A small patio area sits off the front of the home.

The property sits about a half block from the beach on a corner lot. There are three parking spaces, including an attached two-car garage.

Tracy Bowie of Villa Real Estate and Cathy Titus of Coldwell Banker Property Shoppe were the listing agents. Steven Lenoir of Keller Williams Realty represented the buyer.
