Marlon Wayans cuts ties with his longtime home in Sherman Oaks
Comedian and actor Marlon Wayans, who hosts the NBC entertainment series “I Can Do That,” has sold his longtime home in Sherman Oaks for $1.5 million.
He bought the house a decade ago for $1.525 million, property records show.
The two-story Mediterranean, built in 2005, features open-plan living spaces, marble and hardwood floors and French doors that open to a swimming pool and spa.
A formal entry, a living room with a fireplace, a dining room, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms are within about 4,130 square feet of interior space. A gourmet kitchen has been updated with a copper hood, a large center island and enough seating for a Wayans family gathering.
The master suite, with a walk-in closet and soaking tub, has arched doors that open to a Juliet balcony.
Tall palms, citrus trees and a lawn fill out the fenced and hedged grounds.
JoAnne McKenzie of Sotheby’s International Realty was the listing agent. Brad Roth of Pinnacle Estate Properties represented the buyer.
Wayans, 43, is an actor, comedian and writer known for such films as “I’m Gonna Git You Sucka” (1988), “Scary Movie” (2000) and “White Chicks” (2004). Among his television credits is “In Living Color” and “The Wayans Bros.”
He will appear in the upcoming series “Marlon,” a multi-camera sitcom loosely based on his own life that was recently picked up by NBC.
