Mark Wahlberg finally sells his Beverly Hills-area mansion
Mark Wahlberg has sold his home in the 90210 ZIP Code for $12.995 million – a million dollars less than the actor-producer was asking when he listed it two years ago.
The contemporary Mediterranean estate, built in 1985, has been updated throughout its 11,500 square feet of living space. In addition to the five-bedroom, eight-bathroom main house, the property features a guesthouse and a detached gym where the actor trained for his starring role in “The Fighter” (2010).
The 1.75 acres include a swimming pool with a grotto and waterfalls, a putting green and a sports court.
Wahlberg, 42, has been executive producer on a number of television shows including “Boardwalk Empire,” “Entourage” and “How to Make It in America.” He was nominated for Academy Awards for his acting in “The Departed” (2006) and “The Fighter.” He starred this year in “Two Guns,” “Pain & Gain” and “Broken City.”
Distinctive L.A. homes draw vacationers
The family home was marketed in 2008 at $15.9 million. The Times Mapping Database identifies the area as Beverly Crest.
Felix Pena of Hilton & Hyland/Christie’s International Real Estate and Hillel Sanowicz of Keller Williams Realty, Sunset Plaza, were the listing agents. Elise Woroboff of Keller Williams’ Beverly Hills office represented the buyer.
