In quick move, San Antonio Spurs’ LaMarcus Aldridge sells his Newport Coast house
The San Antonio Spurs’ LaMarcus Aldridge seems to know his way around Southern California real estate deals. The five-time all-star bought a home in Newport Coast for $7 million in late summer and sold it last month for $8.35 million.
Set behind gates in Crystal Cove, the redone contemporary estate incorporates Spanish and Mission design details such as arched openings, wooden beams and a tile roof.
Beyond the stone motor court are 6,800 square feet of interiors including a living room with a fireplace, a family/media room, an office/den and a bonus room/gym with a sauna. The second-floor master suite has a fireplace and a sitting room for a total of four bedrooms and six bathrooms. French doors off the family, living and dining rooms take in ocean views.
A three-car garage sits off the front entry. A tiled swimming pool with a circular spa, lawn and multiple patios complete the grounds.
The 31-year-old power forward spent nine seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers. He signed an $80-million contract with the Spurs in 2015.
Rex McKown and Marcy Weinstein of Surterre Properties were the listing agents. Michaela McCloskey of Surterre Properties represented the buyer.
