Lamar Odom lists Miami-area home for lease at $20,000 a month
Former Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers forward Lamar Odom has put a house in Pinecrest, Fla., up for lease at $20,000 a month.
The Mediterranean-style estate on more than an acre was offered in 2013 at $17,000 a month and four years ago at $14,000 a month. Odom bought the house in 2003, his first and only season with the Miami Heat, for $2.975 million.
Built in 2002, the 8,557-square-foot home is entered through a two-story foyer with fresco ceilings, stone pillars and wrought-iron staircases on either side.
Among features is a home theater, a dual-island kitchen, a billiards room and a wet bar. The master suite has a large soaking tub for a total of six bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
Outdoors, palm-topped grounds center on a summer kitchen, a covered patio and a swimming pool with a raised spa. Behind the pool is a lighted basketball court.
Judy Zeder of EWM Realty International has the listing.
Odom, 35, has played 14 seasons for the Clippers, Heat, Mavericks and Lakers, winning two NBA titles (2009, 2010) and Sixth Man of the Year honors (2011) with the latter. He was last with the New York Knicks during part of the 2013-14 season, though he didn’t appear in any games, and is currently a free agent.
