Basketball player Jordan Farmar sells his resort-like house in Tarzana

Pro basketball player Jordan Farmar, who played for the L.A. Clippers and the L.A. Lakers, has sold his resort-like house in Tarzana for $2.8 million.

Set behind gates, the 2004 Spanish-style house contains a world of standout features: a hookah lounge, two wine cellars, a secret hallway that opens to a bedroom and a custom wall aquarium.

Outdoors, the landscaped grounds of more than half an acre center on a saltwater wave pool with a beach entry, a grotto-style spa and a waterfall feature. The basketball court is lighted.

For Fido, the dog house with washing station is climate-controlled and includes a turf run with a septic system.

The more than 6,000-square-foot main house has a two-story rotunda entry with a wrought iron staircase, a formal living room, a family room with a 150-inch projection screen, a home theater, a game room, a den/office, a glassed-in porch, five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

The 1,500-square-foot pool house contains a kitchen and a wet bar.

There are seven fireplaces and parking for 20 vehicles.

Farmar, 28, was released early this year by the Clippers and signed with the Turkish club Dogus Darussafaka.

The former UCLA Bruins point guard bought the gated estate in 2011 for $1,866,500.

Josh and Matthew Altman, the Altman brothers, of Douglas Elliman were the listing agents. Sue Bromiley of Coldwell Banker represented the buyer.
