For those who seek the perfect view, this Montecito home — once owned by “Monty Python” member and actor John Cleese — might just be the holy grail.

On the market for $8.25 million, the beachfront residence in a private cove on Fernald Point features walls of windows and views from nearly every room. Multilevel decks and gardens are also centered on the surrounding coastline.

Within the 3,942 square feet of space are crisp white walls, skylights and beamed ceilings that lend an airy feel to the interiors. A living room with a fireplace, a dining room, a contemporary kitchen and a 1,000-bottle wine cellar are within the floor plan.

The master suite — complete with a dressing room and two walk-in closets — occupies a full level of the home and opens to a private balcony overlooking the ocean. Adjacent to the main house, a separate guest studio has a kitchen and living room.

There are three bedrooms and three and a half baths in all.

Cleese bought the home in 1998 for $3.443 million and owned it for more than a decade, records show. Despite listing it for sale in 2008 for $10.75 million, he would eventually sell the property for roughly half that amount in 2010 — $5.1 million.

Robert Lamborn of Sotheby’s International Realty holds the current listing.

The 76-year-old Cleese is known for the “Monty Python” shows and movies. Among his other credits is the BBC series “Fawlty Towers” and the 1988 comedy “A Fish Called Wanda.”
